Lord Fisher an Update

A major Milestone in the overhaul of 'Lord Fisher' has been achieved with the boiler being sent off for repair. Prior to despatch Dean and the team have been hard at work, grinding off firebox rivet heads in particular to save time and therefore money at West Somerset Restorations at Williton. The boiler was successfully delivered there on 12 February courtesy of our friend Jerry Darch, once again saving the hire cost of a flatbed van. We now await the results of their assessment of any additional work above their quote. Duration of the work will be subject to their availability and our finances! The other parts of 'Lord Fisher' are now disassembled for cleaning, inspection and painting as appropriate.
