Steam Train Day + Turntable day

Due to the current severe Fire Risk the Steam Train Day on the 23rd August will now use a Diesel Engine. The WW2 event advertised in the leaflet is also, unfortunately, cancelled.  We have made this decision as a responsible Heritage Railway and regret any disappointment this may cause to our customers.

Other planned attractions include a Shop, Light Refreshments, Model Railway and exhibits and displays (including the Chard Signalling Panel).
Pre-booking will not be necessary for this event and please pay at the gate.

Diesel Train Day

Diesel Train Day using one of our Diesels to give train rides along the 1/3rd mile of the ex-Great Western Railway Clifton Maybank branch. Other attractions include the Miniature Railway, Model Railway, Cafe (and display of artefacts) and a Shop.

Model Railway Swapmeet

Model railway swap meet in our Transfer shed visitors center, please note there will be no trains running on this day.
Pre-booking will not be necessary for this event and please pay at the gate Admission £4.

Running from 10.30 to 14.30 come and meet a range of traders and find your perfect model railway items. 

Steam Train Day + SCI-FI/ Fantasy

Steam Train Day using Peckett 0-4-0 'Pectin' to give train rides along the 1/3rd mile of the ex-Great Western Railway Clifton Maybank branch. Passengers travel in our coach which is accessible via ramp for standard size Wheelchair and other users will be in use.
