Steam Trains and Tractors 2026: A Huge Thank You to Our Exhibitors

Our Steam Trains and Tractors weekend is always one of the highlights of our summer calendar, and the 2026 event didn't disappoint. Alongside our heritage steam and diesel locomotives running down the Clifton Maybank branch, the site was packed with vintage machinery, emergency service vehicles, and classic cars for visitors of all ages to enjoy.

We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who brought a vehicle or exhibit along and helped make the weekend such a success.

Visitors got the chance to get up close to some fantastic emergency service vehicles this year. Swift Fire and Rescue brought along their engine for everyone to explore, and the British Transport Police joined us with a car many will recognise from the film Hot Fuzz — a real crowd-pleaser and a great talking point on the day.

No Tractor Weekend would be complete without a fantastic line-up of vintage machinery, and this year was no exception. A&E Land Rovers brought a wonderful range of Land Rovers for visitors to admire, sitting alongside a great turnout of vintage tractors and stationary engines, all beautifully maintained by their owners. With so many stationary engines running throughout the day, the site was filled with the wonderful chorus of chugging engines — a real treat for anyone who loves the sound of vintage machinery in action. A selection of classic cars rounded off the display, giving visitors plenty to see between train rides.

As always, all of this took place alongside our own heritage railway operations, with steam train rides available down the Clifton Maybank spur throughout the day — giving everyone the chance to combine a look at the exhibits with a ride behind one of our locomotives.

Thank you again to all our exhibitors, volunteers and visitors who made this year's Steam Trains and Tractors weekend such an enjoyable event. We look forward to seeing you all again next year!
